A.I.S.T.D., First qualification for Rock ‘n’ Roll, Burlesque Fitness, Clubbercise Instructor and Fight Klub
I have been dancing with Cara-Lea Dance Studios for over 16 years. In this time I have competed at many area competitions, and I was a finalist at the Grand National Finals Day. At the age of 8 Cara-Lea kindly asked me if I would demonstrate in a lecture for the Imperial. I have passed all my Disco Freestyle and Rock ‘n’ Roll examinations, including distinctions and 99% passes. I am also proud to say that I passed my Grade 1 – 6 ALL with Distinction. I have been lucky enough to perform at Disneyland Paris, Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sadlers Wells, Pontins and all of our local school shows. I have over 8 year’s class assistance experience within the school which is invaluable to creating knowledge. I have choreographed for many dances in shows for the school. For my work experience in year 10 I had the privilege to work for Cara-Lea Dance Studios, and now that dream has come true and I work full time as Cara-Lea’s Personal Assistant, as well as teaching many classes for the school in the area and heading many of our parties.
A.I.S.T.D., First qualification for Rock ‘n’ Roll, Clubbercise Instructor and Burlesque Fitness
I have been dancing at Cara-Lea Dance Studios since the age of 5. I entered my first under 6 exam and from there went on to complete all my Disco Freestyle and Rock ’n’ Roll examinations. I have competed in competitions for over 12 years where I not only competed solo but with a partner and in teams. I have also performed in many venues such as Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sadlers Wells, Royal Albert Hall, Disneyland Paris and many local events as well as school shows. I have completed all grade examinations 1-6 and recently passed my student and teachers exams both with distinctions. I currently do ballet where I have done grade 6 and 7 and now am working towards grade 8, which compliments one of my favorite styles in freestyle which the lyrical work. I currently teach at the dance studio on Thursdays from preschool classes to the advanced competitors, I also enjoy supporting the competitions and encouraging our up and coming talents within the school.
A.I.S.T.D., First qualification for Rock ‘n’ Roll
I’ve been dancing with the Cara-Lea School of Dance for 14 years (I was 6 when I first started) and I fell in love with the hobby straight away. By the age of 7 I was competing in area competitions and have made it to the national finals on 3 occasions. I have also had the opportunity and pleasure of dancing on amazing stages such as Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sadlers Wells, The Royal Albert Hall, Disneyland Paris and not forgetting Pontins! I have passed all Disco Freestyle exams including the Peggy Spencer Award and have passed up to Supreme award in Rock n Roll and with distinctions. I have also passed all 6 graded examinations. It was after passing grade 6 that I chose to leave competing behind and concentrate on studying for my professional exams. I was already assisting in a weekly class at the time and it seemed the natural progression given my love of dance and teaching. I also love the Latin section of the Saturday classes which I would love to develop in the future. I have now passed both my student teacher disco freestyle exam and student teacher rock ‘n’ roll exam and have most recently passed my associate exam in disco freestyle. I have now been assisting in classes for over 3 years and still love dancing as much as I did (if not more!) than in that first lesson!
